Contact


Contact is defined in Katmandoo as any person who performs tasks and/or has a role in trials.

Default Columns

Contact comes with the following system columns

Column name Column Description
ContactName This field is for storing a name for a contact in the database. It has to be unique, but it does not need to be related to any of the other fields (although it often will be)
Examples: John Smith, JaneSmith@email.com, GuestContact12
ContactFirstName This field is for storing a contact’s first name in the database. It is linked to the Contact Last Name as the system cannot have two contacts with the same Name, First Name and Last Name.
Examples: Jane, Neil, Jesse
ContactLastName This field is for storing a contact’s surname in the database. It is linked to the Contact First Name as the system cannot have two contacts with the same Name, First Name and Last Name.
Examples: Smith, Baker, O’Brien
ContactArconym Unlike most acronym fields, Contact Acronym is an optional field.
It is simply a field used for storing an acronym of the contact name, this could be anything from a person’s initials to a shortened version of a long contact name
Examples: JM, B.O’Brien, NeilB
ContactAddress Contact Address is another optional field. It is primarily used for storing metadata about the contact, in this instance it would the contact’s address.
Examples: 123 Fake Street, 321 Unbelievable Junction, 12 Demo Road – QLD
ContactTelephone Contact Telephone is another optional metadata field. It is used for storing the primary telephone number of the contact.
Examples: (07) 123 456 78, +610498765432
ContactMobile Contact Mobile is very similar to Contact Telephone and can be the exact same. It is used for storing the mobile number of the contact.
Examples: (04) 123 456 78, 0423434545
ContactEmail Contact Email is the final optional metadata field. It is used for storing the email address of the contact.
Examples: John.Smith@email.com, demoemail@demo.gov, testing123@test.com.au

An initial Katmandoo installation only includes one contact, called: UNKNOWN.xxxx@UNKN0 with a lastname of “UKNOWN” and a first name of “xxxx”
